i want help in configuring dynamic dns on HG8247
i have already registered in website one hostname

Could you please send us a screenshot of the dynamic DNS settings of your router?

I have a simular router - Huawei HG8247Q. I'm attaching a screenshot for the option gnudip service provider (screenshot is in Portuguese, but I translated the relevant fields):

Other service providers are:
dyndns
dyndns-static
dyndns-custom
qdns
qdns-static
gnudip
gnudip.http
no-ip
dtdns

For each service provider, the options are slightly different. For example, for gnudip.http, there are there is this additional parameter (the other ones are basically the same):

Salt address (example: /cgi-bin/gdipupdt.cgi)

I tried different configurations, all are giving error.

I also tried that, but it fails. I ended up using the curl option with a crontab in a linux box.

I have HG8245Q and just configured dyndns-custom and it worked fine. Can you share your configuration that didn't work for you?

I was also having this issue on a HG8247Q

Tried several, and found out about this, it finally work as intended.
