Topic: Technicolor TG 588v unable to use dynamic dns
this is the configuration window
Dynamic DNS Service
Dynamic DNS can be used to point a fixed host name (e.g host.a-domain.com) to the public (or WAN) IP address assigned by your Internet Service Provider (typically a dynamic IP address). This allows servers located on your Local Network (configured using Game & Application Sharing) to be accessible using this alias rather than the IP address assigned by your Internet Service Provider.
Configuration
Use DynDNS: Yes
Internet Service: vINTERNET
Username: test
Password: ********
IP address: 0.0.0.0
Dynamic DNS service: custom
Hostname: xxxx.dynu.com (Update error) => my reserved hostname
I have tried the other possibilties instead of "custom"
dyndns, gnudip, statdns, no-ip, dtdns
sometimes the above ip is correct, but was not transferred to dynu.com
if I delete the dns record with user at dynu.com, the next is registered ...
thanx for any advice

First you need to Telnet into your router at 192.168.1.254 and edit the custom configuration file. Once connected enter the following commands, you should use 'Enter' after each line.
dyndns
service
modify
name=custom
server=api.dynu.com
port=www-http
request=/nic/update
updateinterval=10800
retryinterval=30
max_retry=3
saveall
