Topic: FTP server issue
Hello, I have some kind of issue related to my FTP client who couldn't connect to the FTP server, is there a way to check out my FTP server details or it is related to something else?

FTP protocol uses two channels, a command channel and a data channel. In cases where both the FTP server and FTP client are behind routers or firewall, it is best to use 'Passive' setting in the FTP client so that both command and data channels are used using the same port.
Try both 'Active' and 'Passive' settings in the FTP client. We also recommend that you check if port 21 is accessible using the port check utility at https://www.dynu.com/en-US/NetworkTools/PortCheck
If you let us know the hostname for your FTP server, we can give you more feedback.

Hello, Yes I'm actually using FTP server behind router, and my 21 port works perfectly, I tried to connect using ftp.mydomainname but in vain. My hostname is hassanedarir.freeddns.org.
Thanks very much for your support.
Bests.

hassanedarir.freeddns.org currently points to IP address 105.66.133.64. Is this your correct IP? Port 21 on that IP address cannot be reached. https://www.dynu.com/en-US/NetworkTools/PortCheck.
