On newer versions, you have to install the new OPNSense pluging named "os-ddclient" : System -> Firmware -> Plugins. click on the plus cross. the package installs. Refresh by clicking on "Lobby" in the menu.
In the menu, go on : Services -> Dynamic DNS -> Settings
With plugin version v1.9 and a WAN holding the public IP (Bridged modem) you have to setup like the attached picture.
Take care to no have special characters in you password bu a long enough one for your security.

This is the setup for OPNsense. You need to use "Custom".
