Hi all,
I'm in the process of setting up my new HIK NVR and am trying to get the DDNS service to function correctly on it.
I've tried a few different settings for the "Server Address" but I always get "connect to server failed" as a result.

Here is what I currently have:

DDNS TYPE: CUSTOM DDNS
Server Address: ns1.dynu.com
Domain: mydomain.dynu.net
User Name: theloginusernameforthedynusite
Password: thepasswordforthedynusite
Status: "Connect to server failed"

Am I not putting the correct "Server Address" in?
Or is there a port I need to open on the router for this to work? The HIK ports that it wants me to open are:
HTTP: 80
RTSP: 554
HTTPS: 443
Server Port: 8008

Do I need to open all of those 4 ports on the router or what?

The server address should be api.dynu.com.

Hi, can you tell me if you managed to solve this as I am having exactly the same problem. I have tried api.dynu.com, ns1.dynu.com and still I am getting failed to connect to server on the Hikvision software. Thanks
