I had a Domain name From another carrier, www.stoopstudio.net. But I recently bought paintandblog.com. how do I go about getting server space and linking the DNS to the new server I am going to rent.

You can set up the appropriate DNS records in 'Manage DNS' section in the control panel. If you need help setting things up, you may refer to https://www.dynu.com/Resources/Tutorials/DynamicDNS/DNSRecordTypes
